Creative Director/Photographer/Filmmaker
The Last Ones Out is a surf film I created to celebrate the beauty, grace, and strength of San Diego’s women longboarders—produced from idea to premiere in just three months. To launch the film, I threw a completely self-produced film festival in Pacific Beach that sold out with over 200 attendees, supported by sponsors including Seabourn Alcohol, Bloom Energy Drink, Soul Grind Skate Shop, Mamala Wetsuits, Blackbird Surfboards, and more. The event featured five DJs, three live bands, multiple raffles with all proceeds donated to charity, and screenings of three original films—including my own. Shortly after the festival, The Last Ones Out was selected from more than 6,000 submissions for the San Diego International Film Festival, where it was screened and won Best Short in its category.
